The aim of my family research is to make my ancestors come alive. I want to get under their skin and not just scratch the surface by making a list of names, dates and places. Getting to know our ancestors requires going beyond parish registers and census records and digging deep into the holdings of different archives and libraries. I know that most of my clients share my passion for detailed descriptions of an ancestor, but finding and using the less used records is difficult - and especially when there is a language barrier.
I have joined the Blogging from A-Z April Challenge this year and my theme is Family History: Beyond Parish Registers and Census Records. I will give examples of available records and how to use them. Hopefully I can inspire you to dig into less used sources, so that you can make your Danish ancestors come alive.
